Opening Drive

The season started on 24th April at 2pm. It was a beautiful day with cloudless blue skies and the members turned out in force for the traditional 'Spider' followed by a roll up. The Lady Captain perfromed a waitress service as the Clubhouse was closed and  it was a great afternoon as everyone got back into the swing of a game of bowls.

The Spider is the opening event of every season. The nearest bowl to the target gets a bottle of scotch and this year's winner was Annette Smith.
